To achieve results on this level requires a therapist who has the capacity to flow the energy of life itself through his or her hands during a treatment, and - most importantly - whose understanding of the process is clear enough. The energy is known as Ki (also spelt Qi or Chi) or Prana. The required understanding is that the nature of the Ki is perfection and intelligence, and its movement is outside thought. This in fact is the cornerstone of the Philosophy of Holistic Medicine. Anyone can learn to do Ki Massage, but the results are according to your level of understanding of life. People will therefore work at different levels of Ki, and obtain different levels of results. In fact this might mean for instance that one person might take ten treatments to achieve what a better therapist might achieve in two. The Ki Massage Therapist’s art therefore, like the martial arts, is a study and a discipline involving continual practice and understanding. It brings in the concept of personal magnetism and the yoga-like concept of storing up prana in the body. The therapist learns to flow the Ki at will for the benefit of both his/her self and the client. A Career in Holistic MedicineKi Massage is a gateway into the world of holistic medicine and healing. While Ki Massage is a valuable personal skill it also offers a flexible, mobile career skill which is in growing demand internationally. By adopting a holistic approach the therapist is immediately positioned at the upper end of the market. Ki Massage is the career that gives you more out of life - more personal satisfaction, more results with clients, and more earning opportunities. The demand for holistic Ki Massage therapists in the current favourable economic climate is increasing - people are working harder and need to relax more plus they have more available to spend. Our internationally recognised Certificate from City & Guilds of London Institute, a leading public awarding body, offers the possibility of working in many countries throughout the world.
